Ruling party head, EU Ambassador discuss cooperation

Irakli Garibashvili, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday met Pawel Herczynski, the European Union Ambassador to the country, to discuss cooperation between the country and the bloc.
The officials reviewed cooperation in “various fields” within the framework of the Association Agreement signed in 2014, the party said.
The discussion also noted the “ongoing political processes” in Georgia and the Black Sea region.
Garibashvili once again extended his gratitude to Herczynski for his efforts in the European Union’s decision to grant Georgia its membership candidate status in December, and also emphasised the role of the support of EU member states in the process.
